  • Have you ever wondered, "What would happen if my partner got hurt right now? How would I get them out of here?" If so, this course is for you.

This course is designed for anyone who climbs outdoors, whether in single-pitch or multi-pitch environments. The curriculum builds on itself, so no prior rescue skills or knot knowledge are required, just a willingness to learn!

  • Equipment can be rented for the day, but I encourage using your own gear that you use in the field for optimal learning. I suggest bringing the following items for a rescue kit:

    Rescue Kit:

    • 5 locking carabiners

    • 6 non-locking carabiners

    • 1 cordelette (18-20 feet)

    • 2 double-length (120cm) sewn runners

    • 1 friction hitch

    • Optional: Climbing rope – I will provide ropes, but since these systems behave differently on various ropes, it’s helpful to learn with what you own.

  • This course is 8 hours long and covers an extensive amount of content. Come prepared for a full day of learning with a notebook, as well as clothing and food that will keep you comfortable and focused throughout the entire session.
